Hard to believe it, but it’s already mid-August. Where has summer gone? Though it’s plain to see what the calendar says, here in New York it’s not officially over until the evening’s turn cool and breezy (which, coincidentally enough, has been happening as of late!) Walking around the city after the sun goes down, you start wishing for a jacket, and it hits you — autumn’s really on it’s way.
For this month’s What to Wear, I’ve imagined an outfit for a casual weekend dinner out with friends. With the cooler temps, I always opt to sit outside if I can at my favorite restaurants. Easy (but interesting) wedges and a pair of statement shorts keep the look from being too plain for a night out, and a wear-it-all-the-time jacket will keep you cozy if there aren’t any heaters. I also spotted this silk Miu Miu blouse and think it’s such a classic. You’d have it for years!
